I'm Michelle Fury, Owner & Founder of EYT. I have an LPC through the State of Colorado and am a certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT) through the International Association of Yoga Therapists. I worked at a children's hospital in behavioral health for nearly 15 years, where I helped start a yoga therapy program. That's where I met Agnes and Emily, who are now part of the EYT team. I was named the first full time yoga therapist in a hospital setting by IAYT. Since 2019 I've been in private practice. I've been a student of yoga since 1995, and used to joke that yoga was my therapy! I have a passion for working with kids and families. My other passion is inspiring clinicians just like you to practice self care. And that's the point of our upcoming online training Yoga Tools for Therapists--to give you the therapist a set of tools to help your clients AND you find balance. Click on the title of my book Using Yoga Therapy to Promote Mental Health in Children and Adolescents (Handspring, 2015) to purchase it. It's the cornerstone of our Embodied Youth Training method. I'm Agnes Palej-Ramirez, EYT Instructor. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Colorado. I also hold a Professional School Counselor endorsement through the Colorado Department of Education. I worked with Michelle at the same children’s hospital for over seven years. Currently I am a school counselor in Aurora Public Schools. My passion is to help children, adolescents and their families navigate the challenges that life brings. Yoga has been a big part of my personal life. I enjoy the practice of mindfulness and moments of being alone with myself. I look forward to helping highly skilled clinicians just like you to find a balance of high standards in your work while also maintaining self-care. You can reach me at email@example.com.
I'm Emily Sledge, EYT Instructor. I'm an MSW graduate and a therapist currently working towards my LCSW licensure, specializing in working with kids and teens. I have experience working in residential services, in a charter high school, and at a children’s hospital, which is where I worked with Michelle during my internship. I am also a registered yoga teacher at the 200-hour level. Personally, I have been practicing yoga for 5 years and have watched it transform my life spiritually, physically, emotionally, and mentally. I am excited to help you as therapists create impactful change in your own lives as well as in the lives of your clients. You can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
